What condition was he when he drove off in his rig? Is there any video of him at Whiteline or at a rest stop somewhere? Were his kidneys failing? His heart? His liver? Any of these things can come on gradually and impair judgement and coordination. Remember that he was behaving bizzarely for a couple of days after his arrest. Then he went straight to an ICU. It seems that this guy was not healthy enough to be riding a tricycle, let alone an 18-wheeler. He should have the consideration for others to say, "No, I can't do this run. I am too out of it." Instead, he rolled the dice and everybody lost.
