Hell, just play minor league teams. They're more fun to watch, anyway.

Yeah, avoiding serious injury is important.

From now on, firefighters shouldn't go into smoke filled buildings, and police shouldn't patrol streets with a high crime rate. They could get hurt!

Of course, their jobs aren't as important as seeing a bunch of foreigners in Cubs shirts beating a bunch of foreigners in St. Louis shirts. I mean, it's tradition!

@Sears Tower, you're missing the point entirely. As it stands now, the game is simply another opportunity for serious injury with absolutely no payoff.

What? They fit a ballfield in Hoboken? (The true birthplace of baseball. Don't let those NYers steal anything else from Jersey!)

I think a regular season closer would be a fantastic idea. It could bring meaning and attention to a game that not many would care about, or completely magnify the grand finale of a play-off race.

God forbid athetes making millions of dollars to hit/throw a ball around for 2.5 hours a day have to play in an additional game. Where will people to go to see themselves making a cell phone call on TV?

This makes 163 working days for them! Then you add in Spring Training, and they only get like five months off a year!

I was planning to donate money to Iowa flood victims, but screw that. There is much greater suffering with this extra baseball game.
