Tour de Fat Coming

There are many things to like about New Belgium Brewing. All employees are also owners in the company; they practice open book management; they're a sustainable company using wind power and methane from processed water treatment to produce their own electricity, recycle waste water and utilize the latest green practices in their buildings; they give their employees a bike after one year of employment.

Biking and New Belgium are almost symbiotic. Their latest folly, the Tour de Fat, asks the question "would you trade your car for a bike?" A combination social movement and parade, Tour de Fat lands in Palmer Square Park (Palmer and Kedzie) Saturday to see if someone in Chicago will actually do just that. Registration for Tour de fat starts at 9 a.m., followed by a bike parade at 10 a.m. Mucca Pazza will be performing later in the afternoon. In between will be entertainment, a car funeral procession and plenty of New Belgium beer.

Bicycles, beer, music and nice weather? What could possibly be better?

I will trade my one and only vehicle, a nice 2001 Jeep Cherokee for a bike... anyone know how I can enter to be the chosen one?
