The jokes on him as the ST will be out of business this time next year.
I really don't get this. No one likes his opinions, he hasn't broken a story since Jordan came back, and he's hated by his colleagues. Cooke must love him.
Btw, let's all hope the ST isn't out of business next year. We're already the worst newspaper big city in America, I shudder to think of relying solely on the Trib.
Mariotti's audience is comprised of the same type of audience that launches an ass like Bill O'Reilly to the top of the ratings. Half the people (which is probably being very generous) may agree with what O'Reilly or Mariotti are saying, but the other half still read or tune in just to see what stupid piece of drivel will come out of their mouths next. I read Mariotti and watch O'Reilly because they piss me off and it is fun for me to internally scream at how wrong they are, not because I think their opinions have any validity. You end up loving to hate them.
The sun times sucks it is a shell of the crappy paper it was a few years ago.
This is one good example why I have absolutely no sympathy for traditional media. Let the Web run roughshod over crap like Jay and the ST!
