It took me a couple listens before I "got" Sigur Ros. I think maybe you have to be in the right mood or headspace before you really grok what they're about. Now, I absolutely adore them. I actually looked for tour info a couple days ago and Chicago was not on the list - I'm very psyched that we've been added!

tc3 - no worries. Rumor was tickets will be on sale June 28th, but all Sigur Ros info was pulled from the ticketmaster sites yesterday at some point, so looks like they're still working out all the necessary info for the Fall '08 US leg. Greedo - Dead on, sir. Tankboy and I were discussing it and it's music you have to delve into, really hard to just have on in the background. I like 'em all, and ( ) feels like a real transition record, like the turn from the earlier stuff to this new piano/horns/strings based stuff. Of course, like I said before, it's all amazing...

Great album. . . amazing music to close your eyes to and dream of worldly things. I am still a little partial to ( ) , though.
