Aramis Ramirez helped the Cubs come from behind to win 4-3, with two home runs that included the ninth-inning walk-off.
The Cubs didn't wait until the end of the game to take a lead on Saturday, jumping out to an early lead after erupting for nine runs in the fourth inning. Jim Edmonds hit two home runs in the inning -- becoming just the third Cub ever to do that. Cubs took Saturday's game 11-7.
Ryan Dempster pitched a great game on Sunday by allowing just one run in eight plus inningsm and while Eric Patterson and Ramirez again supplied the bats.
Cubs and their fans are certainly holding their heads up high this week, while the Sox and their fans will be seeking revenge. Our two teams face off for round two this coming weekend, this time at the Cell. Chicagoist can't wait!

Thank you Cubbies. Now my Tigers are only 5 games out of first, after their 12-3 stretch. Woohoo!
the tigers came out of nowhere...i knew they wouldn't stay down like that. still seem shaky but they could give the sox a run for their money.
ozzie seems like such a douchebag to the media, and yet during every game this weekend I saw him joking around with cubs fans sitting near the Sox dugout...obviously i have no idea what was being said but it seemed good-natured.
I like how he said he'd pitch to Edmonds any time after Saturday's game, then intentionally walked him on Sunday.
You gotta give it to him though, he makes a fun rivalry and lot more interesting. Jerry Manuel wasn't nearly as fun.
Nor was Jim Riggleman
Uh, the story in Saturday's 4th inning isn't the nine runs scored as much as it is the FOUR HOME RUNS hit in the inning.
