Today In Gun Stuff...

62627-Chicagoist-gun-totin%27%20panda.jpgGun Porn
The film Wanted starring Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and a lot of guns opens tomorrow. If you recall from your wasted time navigating around closed streets, many scenes were shot in Chicago. The movie has been getting mixed reviews but we'll go for the Chicago shots, Jolie one-liners, and "full-on pornography when it comes to the bullet's-eye-view-effects shots," as Michael Phillips so gunporn-ly put it.

Gun Laws
In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that Washington D.C.'s law against handgun ownership is unconstitutional and that Americans have the right to own guns for self-defense and hunting purposes. How will that affect Chicago's ban on handguns? The city's Law Dept says they need to further review the decision since Chicago was not directly involved. Richard Pearson, spokesman for the ISRA believes it will affect Chicago gun ban greatly. Umm ... ya think? [TRIB]

Hey anti-gun people! Without the right to bear arms the king of England can just march into your house and start pushing you around! Do you want that? Huh? Do ya?

Seriously though, I have this pen I use at work and it keeps misspelling words. I told my boss that just like guns kill people, pens misspell words. She said that it is me who is misspelling words and not the pen, but if a gun can be responsible for killing someone, isn't the pen responsible for incorrect spelling?

Find a gun ban that succeeds in keeping criminals gun free, and I'm in. Otherwise I'll just end up unarmed while some gangbanger invades my home and shoots me.

I paint the tips of my AK-47's orange so cops think it's a cap gun...

The Chicago gun ban did nothing more than criminalize gun ownership for law abiding gun owners.

I don't believe in any personal ownership of firearms by civilians, period. But bans like this only give the illusion of safety, suggesting that our leaders are "doing something" when in fact the heinous criminals with firearms aren't exactly put out by the ban.

Wow, I sure hope this doesnt mean criminals will start using guns to committ crimes. Oh wait forget it.

Sears Tower - If I was your boss, I'd take away your pen and tell you to go back to the 2nd grade.

Note first that this vote was a 5-4 squeaker. Then remember that when the Obamessiah gets elected, he'll appoint some anti-gun Supreme Court justices.

Thereafter, the criminals will still have their guns. Meanwhile, it's likely that law-abiding citizens won't. That will be especially true in left-leaning states.

What left leaning states have a statewide ban Ward?
