Note first that this vote was a 5-4 squeaker. Then remember that when the Obamessiah gets elected, he'll appoint some anti-gun Supreme Court justices. Thereafter, the criminals will still have their guns. Meanwhile, it's likely that law-abiding citizens won't. That will be especially true in left-leaning states.

The Chicago gun ban did nothing more than criminalize gun ownership for law abiding gun owners. I don't believe in any personal ownership of firearms by civilians, period. But bans like this only give the illusion of safety, suggesting that our leaders are "doing something" when in fact the heinous criminals with firearms aren't exactly put out by the ban.

Hey anti-gun people! Without the right to bear arms the king of England can just march into your house and start pushing you around! Do you want that? Huh? Do ya? Seriously though, I have this pen I use at work and it keeps misspelling words. I told my boss that just like guns kill people, pens misspell words. She said that it is me who is misspelling words and not the pen, but if a gun can be responsible for killing someone, isn't the pen responsible for incorrect spelling? Find a gun ban that succeeds in keeping criminals gun free, and I'm in. Otherwise I'll just end up unarmed while some gangbanger invades my home and shoots me.
