Yes he got a special deal Yes its because of who he is AGAIN, since you just don't get it: 1) There was nothing "special" about the deal 2) He got the exact same rate you would get if you had the same credit rating and finances. Seriously, get a clue. You're just embarrassing yourself.

Rev what I am talking about is a crook co politican (obama ) making noise about the housing crisis when he is getting special deals from criminals (rezko) and special rates from the bank. But alot of people are so caught up in their ate of bush (well placed as it may be) that a man shouting CHANGE but no ideas about change is treated like a holy prophet. Yes he got a special deal Yes its because of who he is and that is part of life hes no saint he has been swimming in the corrupt sewers of crook co politics for a long time and its hard to get that smell off.

Wow, just wow. Ms Jackson is calling this discriminatory because this rate is not across the board. Only passengers with economy/coach tickets get hit with the surcharge, while passengers paying for business or first class tickets (as well as passengers who are traveling internationally) do not. None of the articles that I've read on this issue even MENTION race; it's more an economic issue that affects students, families, and other people who are traveling on a budget. If you have 3 kids and you're taking a family trip, that 15 bucks per piece of luggage is going to cost you an additional $75 or more.

fed up: Yeah, no. I've been privy to deals involving rates that were much further below the national and local averages. It breaks down like this: If you've got liquid assets in the 7 or 8 digit range and the bank wants to take your continuing business from another bank or keep you from leaving, they'll deal way down. Bigtime -- even if it's not a profitable endeavor for the lender (you may be familiar with the term "loss leader"... similar notion). That's what apparently happened with Obama's loan and there's nothing unique or newsworthy about it. Nothing other than a bunch of right-wing gasbags with zero credibility who -- similar to you, clearly -- have precisely no idea what they're talking about. If I were you, I'd stick with talking about things you have the faintest of clues about -- whatever that may be -- because clearly this isn't one of them.

I love the "racist baggage policy" accusation. Thankfully this is one time that the sheep, er, I mean "aldermen," will be on the right side of an issue. They will vote against Ms. Jackson's playing of the race card. It's still a winner for this reverse racist. She and the other parasites in her family will be sure to get some mileage out of it. OK. Some good news to add here...although it has to pass the budget first, but speaking of our Governor...... Blagojevich announced at a press conference today that the proposed $5.2 million cut in rape crisis service funding is off the table. For now, rape crisis services funding from Illinois will remain at the proposed $5.8 million.
