Local Caterer Starts Supper Club

2008_07_city_provisions.jpgLocal catering company City Provisions is entering the already crowded "supper club" pool currently shared by Sunday Dinner Club, Bonsoiree, Efrain Cuevas' Clandestino, Bill "The Fish Guy" Dugan's Wellfleet and Jorgina Pereira's Sinhá.

City Provisions is kicking their supper club series off in style July 26 with a bus trip to, tour of and dinner at Faith's Farm, a free-range livestock farm in Bonfield, Illinois. On the way, Jason Ebel of Two Brothers Brewing Company will be on hand to give a lecture on his brewery's history and provide samples. Two Brothers will also pair their beers with a pork barbecue cooked up by City Provisions.

For more information or to RSVP — bus trips fill up fast — call 773-235-2489 or email to info@cityprovisions.com.

I have a love/hate relationship with that logo. Sometimes there's just a weird sense of pride that overcomes me when I see Chicago emblazoned in someone else's identity. However, the color is kind of gross and the "old" feel of the serif fonts are little off-putting. I guess not everyone can have a hyper-modern logo, yeah?
