Man Uses Cheese Grater In Robbery

2008_7_8.notagun.jpgJames Plante Jr., 39, has been charged with felonious robbery and attempted robbery for holding up a Hammond, Indiana bar this weekend not with a gun, not with a knife, but with a cheese grater.

[A bar] patron realized Plante didn't have a gun and used a bar stool to push him out of the bar, court records state. Plante fled, dropping a cheese grater on the ground, court records allege.

NBC already used a gouda line ("Not a 'Gouda' Idea"), and commenters from the Times did a pretty solid job with the jokes, too ("did he act provALONE or were there accomplices?"). Heh.

"The Grate Bar Robbery"

"Give me the money or I'll cut the cheese".

"Cheese." "Grater." "Stool."

I recommend raising the groan-producing-joke warning to Orange. No, make that Red.

Hammond, Indiana, well that explains it

It was a HAMmond Cheese Robbery

Another sign of the wonderful economy, con's can't afford guns, knifes, and shanks.

This reminds me of the footage of a robber brandishing a palm tree branch.

Holy moly, 10 points for Kfunk.

When he gets to prison, he's just going to start planning his grate escape.

Yo Lyons, in the imortal words of Omar Little

"where it at yo? Where it at shortie?"
