Head In the Clouds: Signature Room One Of America's Best Bathrooms?

By Margaret Lyons in Miscellaneous on Jul 9, 2008 5:31PM

2008_7_9.signature1.jpgA cleaning supplies company is holding a vote for the best bathroom in America, and two Illinois restrooms have made the cut: the bathrooms at the Signature Room in the Hancock building and the bathrooms at Brio, a restaurant in Rockford. We're up against such facilities as the one in Grand Central Terminal in New York, which, while relatively clean for a gigantic public bathroom, is also pretty nasty in the scheme of things.

In fact, the rest of the list is pretty uninspiring. The Signature Room is definitely one of the swankiest spots in town, but that got us thinking about all the other iconic stalls. The Trainspotting-esque ladies' room at Cal's, for example. The PBR-wallpapered solo mission at Ronny's. The fact that there's a bathroom attendant at Tequila Roadhouse. Or troughs instead of urinals at Wrigley Field. So, so many choices. [Trib]
