Some specs on "The Venue" for those going:

"three-level lobby, featuring walls composed of LED pixels and immersive lighting" to three giant HD screens for "interactive special effects." The company behind the design of this new space hails from Montreal - Sceno Plus - and their list of accomplishments is a mile long, including everything from Sin City's Bellagio Theatre to Orlando's Cirque du Soleil La Nouba Theatre

With these facts in mind, this venue is waayyy too nice for Hammond, IN.

Can we take a moment to discuss how much Ticketmaster SUCKS! Fans can't get tickets b/c all the scalpers buy them up. I tried to get Eddie Vedder tickets today...almost succeeded until I was booted off. 5 minutes after the sale ended tics were posted on Craislist for as much as $500! Is there any hope in getting ticketmaster or people to change their ways? This is everything Pearl Jam is against. It's so sad.

Hey Eddie, how about lowering your ticket prices so we can all still buy that whole flannel-and-work-boots act, mmmkay? After all, you're a millionaire who dumped your high school sweetheart for a swimsuit model. Besides, I can't fork over $75 for a show where a grown man plays the ukulele.

A little more Neil Young, a lot less Pete Townsend (that guy is a royal asshole).

sorry. this excitement is coming from someone who used to sleep in the alley of the Aragon, or the stairs in front of tower records, or in the parking lot of United Center, or in a van in the parking lot of the hot dog place in front of Metro just so i could be first in line with my friends.

looks like i'm the only one still excited so i'm going solo :(

tix are so $$ for pumpkins because its a brand new venue, they are playing on the 2nd opening night for the new hyped up venue, and they are like $100 cheaper than some of the people playing there.

also, the venue is only 2500 capacity and its all standing room, general admission tickets.

Pumpkins standing room only? I'm going.

I heard a rumor that SP will be playing 2 venues in Chicago on Aug 30-31 for their real anniversary tour, and i was too chicken yesterday to ask Joe Shanahan of Metro if it was true when I served him at lunch.

Hilarious. Hey Eddie and fuck face (I mean Billy) What about the working class people you always seem to pretend to champion.

If I go will Eddie whine that he could not afford bleacher seats let alone skybox seats when he was a kid?

FU both

Oh man, the Pumpkins are playing Harrah's Casino gigs now? That is really sad. It's a long fall from the top I suppose.

mich - it's true. It's a (new?) venue in a Harrah's casino there. Other bands/performers playing there include: Bette Midler, Billy Idol, Monique, Stone Temple Pilots, and the immortal Lynard Skynard.

That lineup should speak for itself.
