So the kid should have been wearing a helmet? Come on, the chances of this happening are pretty damn slim. Not like he was on a firing range or something. We really are inching towards the world Georege Carlin foresaw when he said "Soon kids are gonna be wearing helmets just to jerk off"

"I thought somehow it had been my fault." Yes, you bought tickets directly behind the dugout, where the foul balls come in faster than you can dodge. When even the ballplayers say they wouldn't let their kids sit there, you should realize it might not be a good idea.

Have you seen the Sun-Times cover this morning? The kid, lying in a medically induced coma, his mother(?) standing watch and the headline: "HIS FIRST CUBS GAME" There really is only one major newspaper in town, and it ain't "The Bright One"
