Blago knows the end is near. You dont try to embaress King Daley. The State police are way undermanned the Dan Ryan and I 57 are like a mad max movie no one is enforcing the law anywhere. Maybe more cameras and less actual police wasnt a good idea.

National Guard could be a bit difficult seeing as how 3000 of them (a combat brigade) are in training to prepare for an Afghanistan deployment in a few months. Not sure how much infantry/MP types are left after excluding those being deployed.

One obvious reason for the increase in crime is due to the economy. Crime always increases in times of economic strife - especially violent crime. Blago should focus on programs that help alleviate poverty and provide sound financial education. Violence is a symptom, its not the disease.
