Last night, as I was leaving work, I saw a mouse run across the floor. A few hours later, I saw a rat the size of a rabbit run out of the front entry way of my friend's otherwise nice condo building. More disturbingly, two weeks ago, I walked into my bathroom, groggy as all hell. I looked down, saw a grey mouse and my cat sitting next to it, and thought, "Oh, when did I buy you this toy?" I picked up the tail to throw it for him, and that's when I realized, oh no, this was not a toy. It was, in fact, a dead mouse. So, you know. That was a cool surprise. I didn't realize my cat was quite so on his game when it came to killing things.

it's not so much the killing of rodents, it's the cleaning up after them in a timely manner.

Seriously, it is very important to try to abate rodent infestations. However, commercial food businesses, particularly grocery stores, but also restaurants will always have some level of infestation. Some do a better job killing the rodents more quickly and privately than do others.
