i hate that fancy liquor store at southport with the pointless connecting door. i miss the old, grungy convenience store where i could at least pick something up if i didn't feel like walking my lazy ass to jewel.

more power to the CTA for finding creative ways to raise money, but this sounds better in theory. there are already tons of retail/services options outside the first proposed stations.

I frequently hop off the train at Fullerton on my way home from work because the Dominick's there is so convenient (even though it's nowhere near my apartment).

the convenience store off the sheridan red line stop? all i ever needed, in all its crazy glory. many stops have something nearby, but for those that don't, it's a good idea.
