Yep... the dynamic flashy duo just went up at the corner of Western & Lawrence right near us. I do find it interesting that of all the intersections these have been installed on... not ONE I've seen is next to a school. There are plenty of schools on big, fast streets... you won't see them there. Not causing accidents? I'm doubtful... and the city knows this as well.

I red in Monday's RedEye about a local website that gives advice on both parking tickets and red light violations. It's called The Expired Meter ( www.theexpiredmeter.com ). It has some decent advice/strategies on avoiding red light tickets and an advice column on fighting parking tickets.

Last weekend I noticed a new camera aimed at drivers who run the left turn signal from northbound Clark on to westbound Ridge. I also noticed a camera at Clyborn, Damen & Diversey. Watch out everyone! Of course, does anyone believe this about safety? $50 Million from these cameras? I expect a lot more than 25 of them soon.....
