I fail to see how DNA could exclude any member of the Ramsey family as a suspect as it would be logical for her parent's DNA to be on the little girl just from ordinary contact.
I did read one lawyer that has had some cases involving DNA say that the exclusion of the family was garbage because the crime scene was hopelessly contaminated by the father [he wrapped her body in a blanket & carried it out of the room it was found in] & the incompetent Boulder Police.

I've always thought it was the then 10 year old brother that did it in a jealous rage against the star of the family.
If you get Lawrence Schiller's book on the case, "Perfect Murder, Perfect Town", look at the illustrations of the house layout. JonBenet had the biggest & best bedroom of the house. How's that for weird?

How many people are going to die today in Chicago? How many are going to be murdered? Are any of those stories going to get even a 10th, a 100th of the coverage that this case has?

Interest in this case is purely purient, gawking at a creepy guy who can discern between fame and infamy.

This whole affair isn't actual news. It's a sad little neighborhood drama. The losers here are kids without a mother.

All these creepy neighbors (the lady next to Peterson who has put up signs and tapes him) just make this a fiasco.

Frankly, I don't care what happened to either of his wives. I mind my own goddamn business.

matty,

well, let's put it this way: if I were on a jury and Patsy Ramsey were on trial, I would not vote guilty because there isn't enough evidence.
But I just can't help what my intuition tells me.

Same thing with the Noxious One. There isn't enough evidence to convict him, and I would much rather a guilty man go free than an innocent man go to jail...but c'mon...she "ran away with another man?"

Please.
Does he think that we're all just that stupid?

"I know about the recent DNA findings, but I still think that Patsy Ramsey may have done it. "

See this sort of thinking is just not OK. And while it seems like you have every reason not to like whathisface, it still seems like you are convinced the man is guilty.

As for right now it's for God to know and Science to find out if he is.

Speaking of the Ramseys....if you want a good summer read I highly recommend Joyce Carol Oates' "My Sister, My Love".

It's a fictionalized version of the Jon Benet murder story. I literally could not put the book down. It is told through the eyes of the brother (the one who was 9 years old when the murder happened).

JCO really captures the empty, clawing souls of the "Rampike"/Ramsey family...it's fascinating. In the book, Jon Benet is "Bliss" and is an ice skating prodigy with the totally narcissistic mother and boor of a father. It really is a riveting psychological statement of a certain sector of our society.

I know about the recent DNA findings, but I still think that Patsy Ramsey may have done it. I've thought that all along. I think it was unintentional, a fit of unpremeditated rage...but I think it's highly plausible that she did it. I suppose I feel even stronger in that belief after reading this book, fiction or not.

Well it seems like the best thing to happen to this guy is to have charges filed against him and to be found innocent. What's really screwing his life up other than the fact that he is completely unlikeable is that no charges have been filed against him. The investigation is still open...further the last famous people that I can recall who were only recently proved innocent were the Ramsays (cleared through DNA evidence). Similarly to Drew Peterson the Ramsay's were absolutely repugnant - that said sometimes the system works - that is hanging on to the presumption of innocence as completely hard as that may be...

We shall see what unfolds with this guy. It's sad all the way around if you ask me.

matty,

Can you name just one incidence in the news where a wife went missing, body then found, and the husband wasn't guilty?

Of course, in this case there is no body, but c'mon....any presumption of innocence with this guy is taking things way too far...especially with his previous history.

Bill Maher said something to the effect of when a man and woman marry the priest should just say "I now pronounce you wife and person of interest". (this was after that case where the husband said he was in medical school but he wasn't - he had dropped out - he said his wife went 'jogging' - that seems to be a popular choice of excuses with these wife murderers.

I, like Navin, would also like to know what certain women find appealing about him? He is absolutely disgusting and vile. And I have dubbed him not Bolingbrook's most notorious...but Bolingbrook's most noxious.

I just wonder what is going to happen with this case? Will they close it at some point? I mean, there have been murder convictions when the body was never found, haven't there?

If this guy is one day found to be innnocent (though he doesn't need to as the presumption is always innocence)I wonder what people will do.
