Next Tuesday, Alderman Ed Burke will be introducing the Pet Overpopulation & Safety Ordinance that would would require mandatory spay/neuter for dogs. This will help eliminate the inhumane back yard breeders that profit from dog fighting. Please, if you care about dogs, contact your aldermen and let them know that you support this ordinance.

Kevin- Any info on what happened with the dogs? Did they all have to be put down?

Possession of dogs that have not been fixed by a convicted felon is a crime in Illinois. Can we fix these convicted felons so that we don't need to pay to incarcerate their children?

The part of me that still believes in goodness overcoming evil likes to think that every time I read a story like this, that this will be the LAST dog fighting ring ever. When I think of what those poor dogs go through every day, it sickens and depresses me. I hope these losers get the book thrown at them.
