All’s well that ends well. Dominic DiAngi, who was hit in the head by a foul ball at Wrigley Field July 10, celebrated his eighth birthday and his recover by throwing out the first pitch at Wrigley Field yesterday. That game was his first time to the Cubs, and Saturday was his second.

When it came time for Dominic’s moment on the mound, he delighted the cheering crowd by motioning [Ted] Lilly back to a position behind the plate, then getting a hug from his dad after the successful long heave, which Lilly jumped up to snag. The pitcher then gave Dominic a high-five.

It was a foul ball off a bat from Lilly’s pitch that struck Dominic.

Dominic no longer is experiencing headaches and his speech is returning to normal, his mother Pamela said. “We’re so lucky.”

The family had seats behind home plate — and the protective screen positioned directly in front.

“We offered them a suite,” Lufrano said, “but they wanted to be in the seats.” [S-T]

He should become a Sox fan. He'll die from worry at age 38 if he stays a cubs fan.

I disagree. He more than anybody should understand the pain that comes from being a Cubs fan.

That, and Cubs fans all act like they've suffered severe head trauma, anyway.
