Lazy, Crazy, Hazy

We're looking at a week of warm weather, with possible thunderstorms keeping temps from breaking 90. Still, the humidity can suck it. And no, you probably can't fry an egg on the sidewalk.

This summer has been pretty mild, all told, especially compared to "the incredible summer of 1916," where temperatures stayed over 80 degrees for 147 straight hours, and then for another 94 straight hours a few weeks later. Typically, nighttime temps drop under 80—there have been only 61 days in Chicago since 1871 during which temperatures did not get that low. Interesting! [NWS, WGN]

That's me in the pic! teehee :)

i'm glad the nights are getting decent, but i'll say it again: it seems to me we've had at least two other weeks like this one .. .with a stretch of a whole week of mid to high 80's. i'm not complaining, cause i loves me some summer. i just always get a wee bit worried for the flan (see my mini pic).
