Numerous studies have been conducted that show the demographics of cubs and sox fans, racially, financially, age, sex, to be nearly identical. Cubs fans are not all frat boys or suburbanites and Sox fans are not all southside white trash with tattoos and no teeth. Stop being such a fucking moron, it's painful.

Uh I believe he hit Kreuter in the back of the head before he took his hat and let's not forget about the wasted 'bleacher bimbo' who tried to nail Jacque Jones in the face with a baseball. Then you have that young bond trader (natch) storming the field and attacking Randy Myers. I'm sure there's more. I seem to recall some other idiot storming the field to do the same but being dropped by security before he could.* Horry Kow! *cough* What's that carcass doing hanging from the Harry Caray statue. *Yep: Brent Kowalkoski pleaded guilty to the June 25 incident. Authorities said the barefoot Elmwood Park man rushed the pitcher's mound. A security guard tackled him before he reached pitcher Bob Howry.

At Wrigley Field we actually have security that breaks up fights. One time at the Cell a few years back I watched a fight in the bleachers, got bored of watching the shirtless fools pound on each other, then watched the Sox suck for a while until I got bored of watching the Sox again.. after like 10 minutes the fight was still going on out there! FYI This was not at a Cubs/Sox game...

It's just an asinine comment but I'm not surprised because of who the author of this post is. as far as i can remember there haven't been any cubs fans in recent years who have actually gone onto the field of play and laid a beat down on someone. sure we took a hat from the Dodgers bullpen and that one guy wanted to go talk to Bob Howry about his mediocrity last year, but there were no fisticuffs.

Once again, Cubs fans proved that they're truly the more pugnacious baseball fans Mmmmmyeah, no. It doesn't "prove" anything about anybody. I'd also point out that since there are many, many, many more Cubs fans than there are Sox fans, stories of alleged bad acts on their part are bound to be more common.

this story seems too familiar. there was also a recent incident where a group of red sox fans beat up on a lone yankee (http://www.wickedlocal.com/cambridge/archive/x1637136069) or vice versa. not just isolated to chicago. unbelievable. it's just a game people.

while i don't condone the beat down, i do have an issue of this being touted as a Cubs fans vs. Sox fans fight in the paper. would it be different if it were say a Brewers fan beats up a Colts fan? what does fandom have anything to do with this?
