groggy: by now the time stamp has been fixed. As for Cans's concessions, I went in with the intention of a fair assessment. But the combination of the freaky texture of the nuggets and the way the server plopped the mes down in front of me really put Cans behind the 8-ball. Thanks God for Adobo and the Liederhosen bier garden.

Pitchfork, sweet sweet Pitchfork with your $4 312s and IPAs. How I missed you this weekend. For food at Lolla (as well as the majority of other big festivals that happen in this city), I have only 4 words.....Chicken-on-a-stick!!! God bless you Lee's Concessions and the delightful chicken you produce which has come to define summers for me. There's no other poultry I'd rather eat while sitting uncomfortably on a curb and getting beer spilled on me by passer by's. (Their egg rolls suck by the way)

The $5 Buds less offensive after numbing myself with a few $7 Hoegarddens from the Biergarten. I enjoyed the chicken kabob from "Greek Delights", Adobo's guac, the Paulina Meat Market's German Bratwurst, and Goose Island's falfel sandwich. The italian beef sandwich I had was just OK, but the same booth was selling "jumbo" hot dogs, which were a "jumbo" rip-off. The actual Castaways is basically a concession stand masquerading as a restaurant, so I didn't expect a concession stand based on a restaurant that was actually a concession stand to offer anything edible.

$4 for Goose? Wow...I can't remember how much they were charging at the Hideout Block Party, i think you had to buy tickets though.

The audacity of Budweiser charging $5 for a cup of their swill almost surprised me. It made me long for the glory days (two weeks ago) of $4 for Goose Islands at Pitchfork.

I'm not one for their fare usually, I go for eggs and milk in my baking, but I do like a nice juice drink. Better with vodka)

anyone who's anyone hangs out and Cans. Thus they know that Cans isn't about the food, it's about the scene, the music, the people and the beer served in cans. Did you know that they have over 20 different kinds of beers in cans! You don't see beer cans very often, not in the upscale big city of Chicago. Cans is a refuge from the hustling, bustling workaday world of Chicago, a world where you have to put on airs to fit in sometimes. Sometimes you want to hear the sound of a seal breaking on a can of Schlitz but you can't because you're out a nice restaurant and they only serve beer from a tap, in a glass! Not at Cans though, at Cans, you can hear the sound of glory.

The Benevolent Burrito from Crescent Foods was delicious. That and the vegan ice cream from Temptations were my favorite food items. The chicken sandwich from Castaways tasted like rubber.

I hope you only reason you sampled the food from Cans was so you could get a totally fair assessment of all the food, and not just b/c you thought "Hey, I bet Cans has something good to eat"
