plus Freddy has done many trayouts in the last month. you'd think if he looked half-way decent, some team would have taken the gamble by now (i'm looking at you NYY)

Two years later and I can still feel the exasperation I felt watching Sweaty Freddy on the mound trying to sell his low-velocity junk. The article you link to is his agent claiming he'll be ready to go late in the season. I'll stick with earlier articles that quoted skeptical scouts and Ozzie Guillen: "At one point during his rehab, his former manager with the White Sox, Ozzie Guillen, questioned whether Garcia could be ready to pitch this season. " 'When I saw him, and where he's at right now, I don't see that happening,' Guillen told MLB.com on July 18."

putting salary aside, Jarrod Washburn is the best option now that he has passed thru waivers. I don't see Freddy Garcia doing anything positive for any team.
