Lance Alworth was the last decent white "first option" receiver. Waddle was just a solid slot guy (see: Wes Welker, Brandon Stokely, Ed McCaffery) who didn't have another halfway decent receiver around him.

He's right. Have the Bears ever had a top flight receiver? And Willie Gault doesn't count. But my biggest complaint with Moose is his bad habit of turning his head before he finally catches the damn ball. Moose! Look the damn ball all the way in before you start thinking up field! Who cares now, he's Carolina's problem.

Moose is one to talk. Opposing teams usually found it OK to cover him with the head cheerleader. Even then, he could not get separation or dropped the ball.
