That is either Silphium terebinthinaceum (prairie dock) or S. lacineatum (compass plant). Where was this taken by the way?

The photographer wrote that it was taken at the Chicago Botanical gardens. I am certainly no plant expert but it looks more like prarie dock, doesn't it? Does compass plant branch like that?
In any case, compound flowers are cool. Nice pic.
