Barrington Hills to Robbers: We'll Shoot Your Ass

Residents of Barrington Hills are nervous after they received an automated phone notification(?!) about a home invasion at their neighbor's house, with one woman saying she was going to move to downtown Chicago where she felt safer. Three men entered the home through an open basement window, and then bound and gagged the residents, robbed them at gunpoint, and ransacked the place. The suspects are still at large. Barrington Hills Village President Robert Abboud made sure to make it clear that the town doesn't have a gun ban like Chicago.

"There are an awful lot of our residents that are very capable of taking care of themselves,'' he said.
