There are Republicans in Illinois? I thought they all went to jail? Now when the democrats all get locked up perhaps we can elect some humans to run our government? Nah. That has fueled talk that Jones may make a move to have his son succeed him in office—a maneuver that has been a favorite of Illinois politicians. And if you oppose that, you are a racist. Hey, Toddlin' Todd used that bullshit line when he was corronated to Daddy's gig. I remember him comparing himself to Lisa Madigan. Who was, y'know, elected to a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT OFFICE than the one her dad held. God, just vote them all out for the the love of christ, vote them all out!

Sure, there's the occasional unknown Republican on the news, but otherwise the silence of our incompetent, dimwitted Illinois GOP is deafening. I have been wondering about that too Ward Up. A year ago I thought that perhaps they were laughing too hard to formulate a plan but now it is just plain spooky. This would be a perfect time to start forming plans for the next election season. You have to figure that most peoples opinion of Blago is right down there with lil George. A solid candidate from the republican party would probably do well. I think Lisa M. is going to have a hard time if her old man doesn't start showing he at least has some leadership skill.

Have you noticed that, despite the massive bungling, posturing, and unethical conduct by the Democrats in Springfield, our state's Republicans have been virtually SILENT. Sure, there's the occasional unknown Republican on the news, but otherwise the silence of our incompetent, dimwitted Illinois GOP is deafening. In fact, there has been a bunch of clowns or criminals running the Illinois GOP for the past ten years. And now we have a chance to change the balance of power in the state but nobody's stepping up. To the state GOP: Do something. Say something. Have a plan. Get some votes. What a terrific opportunity you are blowing. And when you get a plan, tell those downstate Bible Belters to keep their religion to themselves. And I write all this as a Republican. C'mon, one can dream.

Just when you think you would never see a light at the end of the tunnel, something like this happens! Our state will be just a little bit better with his departure. Watching him last week trying to defend the pay raises made me wonder how long that pudding head would last in Springfield. Hopefully he is but the first domino to fall due to retirement or indictment. Hey! Sometimes dreams do come true!
