This make 2 times I've heard of Vocalo, both on this site. And I'm a daily NPR listener, from morning well into evening.
Money should have gone to expanding 848 or funding more local news and arts coverage. They dumped "Hello Beautiful" for this shit?

@Yok: Pretty sure the tweets are written by the DJ/hosts of the shows. Who as far as I can tell are public radio employees.
i get these tweets. frankly, if i had time, i'd be using them as fodder for my blog. some of them are pretty interesting, actually.
i suppose i should be giving vocalo a second chance and throwing it on the webstream at work, but i'm throwing my muscle behind CHIRP right now.

So after a bit of investigating, I found that the tweets are generated by the main vocalo website, which uses questions submitted by users, not DJs. That makes me feel *slightly* better.
OK, thanks to the above commenters (no sarcasm) for explaining the Tweets.
Even with that information, it is obvious that the Tweets do not reflect well on WBEZ.
