Do you think Madrid ruined its chances for the 2016 games because of the slant-eyed thing with the teams?

Yeah, I think losing the Gold Medal Softball game is the biggest upset of the games so far. The U.S. hasn't lost in something like 8 years in international play. Too much US domination. Well, until now.

Sears - Neville is technically from Merrillville, IN, but that's easily close enough to be considered Chicago-metro area, I think. Hope they replay the race in primetime tonight. I imagine they will as the Americans swept it.

Japan is written in English because it is easier for the majority of the audience watching it to read. Same with China, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, etc....

I didn't know David Neville was from Chicago! He made a sweet move at the end, diving across the line to ensure his chest (what they use to determine place) crossed the line before an oncoming Frenchman.

The sweep was the only track highlight for the US, who got smoked by Jamaicans again and dropped the baton in both 4X100m relays. You can watch it tonight.

The softball game was a stunner! huge!

I watched a game or two of the women's softball.

Why is "Japan" written in English on the Japanese women's softball uniforms?
