Hate to burst any bubbles for road trip plans to Indiana, but this "ditchweed" probably doesn't even contain enough THC to get you high. That sounds like a challenge to me.

I spent the summer after my freshman year of college working as an intern on a surveying crew. One day we were out surveying in the middle of a corn field in Plainfield (which they were presumably intending to plow over to make room for a subdivision), and we came across this enormous marijuana plant growing alongside the corn. The 50 year old dudes I worked with thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen, and proceeded to tear off some leaves to bring back to the office as proof of their story. Thinking better of this idea a few hours later, on the drive up I-55, they ended up throwing it all out the window of the car onto the highway. My guess is that that particular weed probably wasn't "naturally occurring", however.

As I was bird watching recently at the Dunes I spotted the red breasted warbler through my binoculars. Little did I know that I may have been in the weed capital of Indiana. Oh my! I want nothing to do with all those rabble rousers smoking maryjane dooby cigarette joints. It makes them into sex crazed animals!
