Looks like there's a CTA far hike coming. The blame this time goes to the housing crisis.

Mayor Daley has thrown his support behind the Urban League's lawsuit which aims to alter the state's education funding.

A person of interest is in custody in the case of the Woodlawn landlord who was set on fire earlier this week.

Lisa Stebic's family will appear on America's Most Wanted this weekend to plea for information regarding her case. No word if Amy Jacobson will be there.

...And the Douchebag of the week award goes to the guy who stole his mentally disabled friend's identity to pay for heart bypass surgery.

Graffiti artist UTAH was arrested at O'Hare for causing tens of thousands of dollars in property damage to New York subway trains she tagged. Her boyfriend was also arrested in NYC. The couple were returning from a summer in Europe spent backpacking tagging trains. FAIL.

Okay. Enough of this kind of news. In honor of the Olympics, we give you The Puppy Games.

I still find it amazing that our Governor is allowed to ram in his idea for free rides for seniors, and then a few months later, pull the plug on state funding for the program.

It's not that I don't believe he did it. Because he's a class A douche. What I can't believe is that no one cares. Maybe this ties in to the thread about the RedTrib and literacy though.

Thanks for the coverage about America's Most Wanted filming a segment about Lisa Stebic. They were in town this week filming for a piece called "Making Noise" that will appear Saturday, Septemberg 13th. Making Noise will be about what any family who has a missing loved one should do using Lisa's case and media campaign as an example.

Why should Lisa Stebic's case and media compaign be a model for anything. As far as I know, she's still missing, and nobody's been arrested. What exactly are you modeling?
