@ morganparkist:

The GLOBAL temperature average is the temperature of the ENTIRE WORLD not just Chicago. Last winter Rush Limbaugh got all hot and bothered because an area in Greenland was receiving record snow fall. Again wrongly extrapolating a single event to draw conclusion on a global scale. The snowfall increase actually supports the global warming theory as increased temps result in more evaporation and water vapor carrying capacity which in turn causes more snow.

Please don't be a Rush Limbaugh.

Interestingly even for the Chicago area you are wrong as there has been and increase in average monthly temp for June, July and 3/4 of Aug 2008 compared to the 30 year average according to the National Weather Service.

Departure from average (°F):
June: 2.6
July: 0.7
Aug (thru 24th): 0.6

So to answer your questions, "Everywhere" and "Yes."

Mr. Gore, where is this "Global Warming" that you speak of? Should we be nervous about this unusually mild summer?
