Seriously though all this "A"-this and "J"-this shit needs to go away already. And how. The only cool nickname on the Cubs is The Riot and that's just his name pronounced phonetically! The Cuban Missile is definitely a throwback kind of nickname. I wish there were more of those.

Alexei is having a solid streak here, and year really and one day may be able to compete for the nickname A-Ram. For now there is only one, and he plays hot corner for the Northsiders. And don't ask me why but A-Ram is perfectly acceptable, and K-Fuk is defintely not.

Thunder, I assure you it was never seriously under consideration for a nickname. I got fed up with these terrible abbreviated nicknames after hearing one the TV guys (NBC 5?) refer to Aramis as A-Ram. I'm not a Sox fan and all I kept thinking was, "What about Alexei?" Anyway...

The gimmie series are the ones to get excited about. The more competitive series are more nerve racking that excitement inducing. Glad to see you dropped K-Fuk, Marcus. And if you haven't fully yet, please do.
