Funny how Obama wants to rail against people who he thinks flock to what's popular. Given his campaign, that shows a serious disconnect with reality.

man, i don't get it. here's the deal:

if you sit in the bleachers, the likelihood of people watching the game goes down immensely. i don't sit out there if i can help it (i.e. unless i get a free ticket). there's something about the angle and the far away-ness (hard to believe in wrigley) that does make it hard to pay attention out there for some reason. oh, and all the dudes playing 'pass the cup with the money based on where the ball lands after the inning's over' game.

but, whenever i go and sit in the regular part of the stands, i rarely encounter these hoards of people not watching the game and jaw-jacking on their cell phones. i almost always have one or two people around me scoring the game and everyone else is into the game, talking about players, doing cheers and totally into what's going on. so, i just don't buy this whole 'no one gives a fck at wrigley' crap.

It's not true or false, it's completely unquantifiable. I don't think anyone intelligent enough to vote for a Democrat would decide not to vote for Obama because of his baseball allgiances however...oh, look at me, making wild statements that are impossible to prove.

I know that politics are more important than baseball but you'd think someone who people think is Muslim, wasn't born in this country and is secretly plotting to take over the world once he gets into the White House would know better than to go off stereotypes.

First Hillary dumps the cibs for the yankees and now Obama pisses all over Wrigley, no one sane wants to be associated with a pathetic bunch of losers like the Cubs. But hey don't worry you still have blago as a cubs fan

It might be tired, but it's true. A stadium full of Trixies, no thanks.

Seriously, Red Sox fans outnumbered the White Sox fans, and we were much, much more interested in the game than the home team fans. I almost expected to hear Sweet Caroline over the PA.

This narrative of "Cubs fans don't watch the game" is SO tired. I went to a Sox game recently and the fans didn't seem any more or less engaged than fans at a Cubs game. Although many seemed to be more interested in harassing the multiple Red Sox fans in attendance.
