Clinton Supporters to Raise Funds for Obama

Just hours before Hillary Rodham Clinton’s address to the Democratic National Convention is Denver, Illinois supporters announced that they would hold a fundraiser for the candidate in September. Crain’s reports that, according to J.B. Pritzker, co-chair of Sen. Clinton’s national campaign, the event is designed to unite the party after a contentious and sometimes divisive primary. According to former Clinton White House aide Kevin O’Keefe, Clinton herself will be present. But some are still getting in digs against Obama. “I think the Cubs are going all the way this year. Maybe Barack ought to stick to politics,” said State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, referring to Obama’s comment that “You go to Wrigley Field...people aren’t watching the game. It’s not serious. White Sox, that’s baseball.”
