Jay Mariotti may be heading for Boston, according to Phil Rosenthal, who used to work with Mariotti and is not a fan. "One rumor on which Mariotti would not comment had him bound for Boston and an array of multimedia opportunities," Rosenthal writes today. "How he would find flaws in a city with defending champs in basketball and baseball is anyone's guess." Mariotti told the Boston Herald that that's not in the works, saying "I have had no discussions with anybody in Boston about the Red Sox, Tom Brady's foot or me working there."

Stroger Makes Hollywood Play

He would be a perfect fit for Boston- Boston fans are called eternal pessimists- Cubs fans eternal optimists. Jay is a contrarian so I am sure he would become optimistic about all things New England...
Anyone see the open letter Roger Ebert wrote to Mariotti? Oustanding stuff.
