Here are a few of the things that brightened our afternoon: some kind of laser cat, Christian Bale/Kermit the Frog, a a laser gun shirt, this puppy, hugging puppies, kissing/winking puppies, what we want for Christmas, Emo Obama, and this photo of the space shuttle breaking the sound barrier.
Chicago police officers are getting M4 assault rifles. "But a review of federal firearms statistics suggests the number of assault weapons seized from Illinois criminals is not on the rise. Nor is the number of homicides committed with rifles in the nation. And rifles have been responsible on average for 15 percent of officer deaths each of the last six years." [Chitown Daily News]

Not that I ever bought more than T-shirts and sweatshirts there but I didn't think S&B's stuff was fugly at all.
