Whew, it's going to be hot today, with highs pushing past 90. Enjoy today's sun while it lasts, though—the rest of this week should be rainy and cooler, with highs in the 70s and lows all the way in the 50s. The showers are part Hurricane Gustav's dispersing storm system.
This week's rain would end a nearly month-long dry spell. The stretch from August 5 through today is the driest this time of year has been since 1933. [WGN, Accuweather, NWS]

Fall, I think, has to be my favorite season in Chicago. Cool but not outright cold yet, and not struggling like it does in spring to have a "nice" day.
Judas Priest, huh? I had to look this one up. Nice.
"and lows all the way in the 50s."
Hope you summer haters are happy now, lil f*ckers!
@Meteorologist: I am *struggling* to find lyrics at this point. If you have any suggestions, please, shoot them my way. I started using lyrics just to amuse myself, but now it's an obsession.
