A Very Very Very Fine House(s)

Throughout the month of September, you are cordially invited to spend your weekends touring fancy homes (the $900,000–$4,000,000 kind of fancy homes) during the fifth annual Chicago Luxury Home Tour. Presented by Midwest Home Chicago, 22 homes will be on display throughout the Chicagoland area. Think Hindsdale, Naperville, Glenview, not Gold Coast, Bucktown, Lincoln Park. It's a bit of driving around but after perusing the photo gallery (Hello, George Costanza-worthy Weilert Custom Homes bathroom, above) it might be worth devoting an entire day navigating around the suburbs. But if you're like us, you'll probably just get tired and end up hanging out at the refreshment stop, snacking on catered food and raspberry watermelon lemonade from the Viking Cooking School and Culinary Shop instead.

The Chicago Luxury Home Tour goes for three weekends in September. September 5-7, 12-14, and 19-21 from 11am to 6pm each day. Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 online, and can also be purchased at Caribou Coffee locations throughout the area.

Let me guess, old white people live there!

Grosssss talk about midwest tacky

duh! do you see a carton of Newports and a bucket of KFC? I didnt think so....hell yeah old white people live there.

Son, I mean chairman Mao,even if I saw a box of new ports or a three piece spicey Popeyes dinner with cajun rice( yea you stand corrected) in a old wrinkly crinkly a*s white person's house like that, I'd just know some brothas were paiting it, or robbing it!

I want a house that has water everywhere. I want, like, a waterfall and a full on fucking spa next to an indoor swimming pool. If I'm dropping 4 mill on a house I had better feel like I'm at the Ritz-Carlton every single day.

But then again, Chicago is such a bargain. 4 mill will buy you anything here. In manhattan it will get you an apartment.

spook not everyone can live in projects or section 8 paid for by taxpayers. some people actually have to work and make money so they deserve nice things.

I just want to add that I enjoyed some Popeye's spicy yesterday. Mmmmm. Their non-spicy chicken is shit though.

"Hindsdale"?

Um... try "Hinsdale"
