I noticed a "no smoking" sign in the same calligraphy at the Fullerton stop just yesterday morning.. So it might just be someone who works along the brown line. I'll take a snap of it tomorrow morning and send it. Argue to your heart's content about the waste of dollars or time.. but I noticed it, and that's what signs are supposed to make you do. And I appreciated it.

Maybe he's actually named Douglas MacArthur. But this would work better if he worked at a stop where he had to walk through a flooded station & get his pants legs wet.

CTA employees are required to sit in a box all day in a uniform taking queries from irate customers, then when a sign of individuality leaks out, they're subjected to speculative hyperbole on the nature of their private lives? I know this sounds dick-ish, but come on, I'd take this sign over the loud robot voice announcer anyday.

This sign is significant of serious boredom, which worries me coming from an employee of the CTA - an agency which is supposed to be in the middle of a budget crisis and arguing that any cost-cutting measures would cripple their service without a fare hike to accompany it. But, points for the red ink on "restroom".
