Mario Villa, aka "The North Side Rapist," is already serving 190 years for two sexual assualts, one in 1996 (90-year sentence) and one in 2004 (100-year sentence). Now Villa can add 120 more years to that as he was sentenced Tuesday for a 2003 sexual assault for which he was convicted in August. Villa will serve the sentences consecutively according to the state's attorney's office, meaning he'll (hypothetically) spend 310 years in prison which, frankly, isn't long enough as far as we're concerned.

Not accounting for inflation and assuming he lives out those 310 years in prison at a cost of $22,000 per year that's over six million to keep this guy alive? I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to kill him for free.
HateBrian:
It costs more to execute (no pun intended) a death penalty prosecution including the trial and the lengthy appeals process than it does to house an inmate for life.
Also, there is the added bonus of you know, avoiding the risk of executing an innocent person.
