Promoter's Ordinance Update

Well, it ain't much of an update, but consider this to be in the interest of keeping this issue from fading from the public mind. The Chicago Music Commission has announced that talks still continue and no date for a vote has yet been set. A number of changes to the proposed ordinance have been made though, so we urge you to look the new version [PDF] over. We will say that the proposed cost to do business as an independent promoter in Chicago has not changed in this version, and we still think that proposed structure would put most promoters out of business.
