Cubs, Sox Release 2009 Schedules

While both the Cubs and the Sox fight for postseason positioning, the clubs have just released their 2009 schedules, including interleague opponents. The Cubs will open the season on April 6 in Houston with the home opener being April 13 versus Colorado. The Twins and Indians will visit the Friendly Confines and the Cubs will visit Comerica Park to take on the Tigers. As for the Sox, they'll open the season at home on April 6 against the Kansas City Royals. For interleague, they travel to Milwaukee and Cincinnati and welcome the Dodgers to the South Side. And what of the Crosstown Classic (or whatever the hell they call the Cubs-Sox series)? The two teams tangle June 16 - 18 at Wrigley and June 26 - 28 at U.S. Cellular Field.

I think that they should call the Cubs Vs. Sox games the "Redline Rumble." I wish to have that trademarked and copyrighted by the way.

No mention of the fact that the Sox come to wrigley in the middle of the week? Not a fan of that at all.
