smussy, I see your point but wonder if that wouldn't be kind of cruel to take a "hungry person", as opposed to someone who is just unstable economically or poor but who can afford food. That way they can take inspiration from this approach with the food they can afford. Also, the price isn't high by charitable standards, is it?

you know what i think would be cool? if tickets for this event were $250 or more, but you get a +1 to bring someone to the event who normally doesn't get to eat like this. someone who goes through life truly being hungry. i've never been to blackbird, but let's face it ... i don't struggle to eat most days. i have what i need. it would be cool to see people who can't afford their daily bread really get treated to something like this.
