We're big fans of pretty much whatever Damon Albarn touches, even that wacky opera he just composed. While we're waiting for him to finally get to work on the next Gorillaz disc -- or God forbid actually getting Blur back together (hope hope!) -- we'll have to content ourselves with any one-off collaborations he seems fit to send our way. Lately his tune with The Black Ghosts, "Repetition Kills You," has been in high rotation in our DJ sets, so we figured we'd share this excellent little tune with you so you can start you weekend dance party in your cubicle / workstation / coffeehouse.
MP3: The Black Ghosts "Repetition Kills You"

My love for Damon Albarn spans various spaces and times (and not just because he's a very attractive man). This song is the jammy jam.
As for a Blur reunion, I also wish but I air on the side of pessimism. I really want it to happen though, that show at the Congress about when Think Tank came out (sans Graham though, sadly) was really great. I'd like to see them w/ Coxon!
Anything going on this weekend? How come chicagoist doesn't have a to-do list like all the other ists?
Check out Wired NextFest Matty it starts Saturday. Over in Millenium Park. I went and got a sneak peek last night and it was pretty rad. Also, it's F-R-E-E
