Girls Rule, Boys Drool

Today the Sun-Times tells us something we already knew in our hearts to be true: women across America rule the roost. In a study of 1,260 couples, the Pew Research Center discovered that in 43 percent of those surveyed, women made almost twice as many household decisions as men in the areas of planning weekend activities, household finances, major home purchases, and TV watching.

''Across all decision-making realms, it tilts to the woman,'' said Rich Morin, the study's lead author. "I was surprised by the percentage of men who made none of the decisions in any of the areas.''
