Both jackasses indeed, but you will never see an SNL skit lampooning Biden's idiocy. The sad fact is that if Sarah Palin gained 25 pounds and switched parties, she would be a lioness of feminism. Everyone in America is religous. Some follow Jesus, others Gloria Steinem, and both face serious consequences when they deviate from the tenants of the faith. Shouldnt any woman that rockets to a position of nation power and attention have something to contribute to the feminist movement? Perhaps yes, but maybe you have to look like a fire hydrant dressed in a pantsuit, or maybe it has to do with the orthodoxy of your chosen faith. Left/right? Both simple minded and emotionally attached to their respective faiths.

I am wondering if the Tribune writer thinks Biden should step down as well. I mean, think of it...a vice Presidential nominee who does not even know simple history. "When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened,"' Joe Biden told the "CBS Evening News." Except, Republican Herbert Hoover was in office when the stock market crashed in October 1929. There also was no television at the time; TV wasn't introduced to the public until a decade later, at the 1939 World's Fair. I'm not defending Palin...frankly they are both jackasses.

I deserve to eat some crow. Why? A few days ago I wrote, in response to a comment, that there was no clear evidence that Obama was smarter than Palin. The crazy accent wasn't enough to dismiss her. And I hadn't seen the interviews. Well, the evidence is now here, in the form of multiple Palin interviews in the past week. And I was wrong. Palin is simply not very bright. Our ticket has a Republican who is not a Republican teamed with a Miss America finalist bubbling about world peace. Ughh. Now, where's my crow?

Parker is probably right on this one, but after clicking on her Bio link above, my thoughts were elsewhere..... I would give two months salary to see Parker and Palin settle this one for good in a wading pool full of K-Y jelly. Seriously, Bill Clinton could be the ref, and the winner could take on Dennis Kucinich in a caged match.
