Cedric Benson Signs with Bengals

2008_05_sports_benson_arrest.jpgUnemployed since the Bears cut him following two DUI arrests, Cedric Benson has landed himself a new job. And given his rap sheet, it shouldn't surprise anybody that he signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bears gave up on the disappointing running back, a former fourth overall draft pick, after two arrests barely a month apart last spring.

The Bengals team arrest count already surpassed the team's win total in recent years even before Benson's two were added to the collection, so it sounds like he's found a team where he'll fit right in. Of course, he was cleared of all charges last week, so perhaps he's being brought in as a positive roll model for the others?

Ah, my hometown... Who dey think gonna arrest dem Bengals? Nobody!

guesss he aint worried about the Fin. Crisis! Ahhhhh what a county

The NFL is great. As long as you have skills, it doesn't matter what your rap sheet is, you still have a shot of getting a job.

Shawn Alexander wasn't an option for the Bengals?

Sujal, are you referring to Benson's skill at picking up 2 yards per carry?
